What It Is

Skill Quests is a B2B gamification layer that sits on top of corporate learning management systems (LMS) or LinkedIn Learning. Instead of checking boxes for compliance training, employees earn XP, unlock badges, and climb leaderboards as they complete professional development activities. Companies get reports on skill coverage; employees get recognition for learning.

Learning activities framed as quests with narrative hooks: "Help the PM close a $2M deal" (completing a sales training path), "Debug the production outage" (DevOps security training). Each quest has objectives, reading/video content, a challenge, and XP reward.

🏆 XP & Badge Engine

Every completed activity earns XP. XP accumulates toward badge thresholds. Badges are skill-based (not just time-based): "Product Strategy Badge", "Data Analysis Badge", "Leadership Foundations". Badges are minted as Open Badges (portable, verifiable).

📊 Leaderboards

Team leaderboards (friendly competition), department leaderboards, company-wide leaderboards. Leaderboards refresh weekly. Top learners each quarter get recognition (gift cards, extra PTO, LinkedIn spotlight). Makes learning visible to peers and managers.

🗺️ Learning Paths

AI-curated sequences of LinkedIn Learning courses + Skill Quest challenges + external resources. Paths are role-specific: "Engineering Manager Path", "Sales Development Rep Path". Agent generates new paths based on company skill framework.

📈 Skill Gap Analysis

Agent compares employee's current skill profile (from completed quests) against the company's target skill framework. Generates a "skill radar" showing strengths and gaps. Gap areas become recommended learning paths.

🔗 LMS + LinkedIn Learning Integration

Native integrations with: LinkedIn Learning API, Cornerstone, Workday Learning, Moodle. When a user completes a LinkedIn Learning course, Skill Quests detects it via API and awards XP + logs the skill. Single sign-on via SAML/OIDC.

Managers see: team skill coverage heatmap, who's engaged / falling behind, recommended interventions. Exportable reports. Can assign mandatory quests to individuals or teams with deadlines.
